Research Interests

As a wildlife researcher, I am interested in bird diversity and bio-ecology. I am also interested in avian parasites.

Current Research Projects

The research project in which I am involved falls within the Cameroon Avian Influenza monitoring (part of ecological Networks and disease emergence) carried out by the Johns Hopkins Cameroon Program (JHCP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Scientific research and Innovation (MINRESI), the Ministry of Forestry and wildlife (MINFOF), the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA), and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). As a Bird Research Technician I am responsible for the collection of biological samples from birds in urban and wild areas. This includes wild birds capture and identification, blood, faeces, cloacal swabs and tracheal swabs collection for bird flu analysis, observational study of some target species, data management field reports, shipment, facilitation of some activities between Birdlife Cameroon, Johns Hopkins and researchers from the Centre for Tropical Research/UCLA.
