LiS student Omar Asensio chosen for Young Scholars Entrepreneurship Academy 2011

Omar Asensio is a doctoral student and National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) fellow at the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. He works in the areas of environmental economics, management and policy. 

For the oikos International academy Asensio submitted the project: “The effect of R&D capital on stock market returns in the clean tech industry: The dynamic structure of policy-induced innovation.” He is one of 15 Ph.D. students selected in this globally competitive process from 11 different countries.

The oikos summer academies serve as platforms for Ph.D. students to present and exchange research ideas in sustainable economics and management and get feedback from senior faculty. The 2011 academy will take place June 12-17, 2011 at the Hotel Lihn in Filzbach, Switzerland. 

Asensio stated, "This  will be a great opportunity to present my working paper advised by Professor Magali Delmas on innovation lags and the stock market performance of green indices."
