Research Interests
As a staff researcher in the Center for Tropical Research laboratory, I help maintain our feather/blood database and collections. I also use molecular methods to detect avian influenza prevalence in passerines from North America and Africa. Another project that I work on involves the use of molecular methods to determine genetic diversity and sex ratios for conservation of tapirs from Mexico.
