UC CEIN Nano EH&S Forum: Scientific Advances Towards Reducing Complexity in Decision Making

The University of California Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology (UC CEIN) is pleased to announce a one-day conference on recent advances in environmental health and safety of Engineered Nanomaterials (ENMs).

Wednesday, May 08, 2013
8:30 PM - 5:30 PM
UCLA California NanoSystems Institute / Webcast

 Target audience: Participants from industry, regulators, policy makers, nano EH&S professionals, and academics from the state of California, nationally, and internationally

 Focus: Developing alternative testing strategies for ENMs and how ENMs can be used for decision making in industrial, regulatory, policy, and academic settings

 Discussion: How the advances in safety assessment research for ENMs impact daily operations and decision-making processes

 Webcast:  The meeting will be webcast same day for participants who cannot travel to Los Angeles

 Interactive workshops: Participants may choose to participate in one of the following workshops: 1) High-throughput techniques/approaches; 2) Nanoinformatics/Prediction making tools; or, 3) Safe handling of nanomaterials (to be webcast)

The conference is free to attend, but registration is required. To receive webcast information, please select the webcast option on the registration page.  Register at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NanoEHS2013
