Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Inc., a newly created company that aims to bring to life entrepreneur Elon Musk's Hyperloop concept, will give the first public presentation on how the high-speed tube transit system, which would whisk passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in about 30 minutes, will work and the challenges that lie ahead.

The IDEAS Lecture Series charts a dynamic new future for architecture through engaging speakers from a broad range of disciplines. Presenters will explore topics arising from unexpected quarters to examine emerging new technologies and possibilities for interdisciplinary growth through the evolving role of Los Angeles in architecture. (The series is generously supported by Paul and Herta Amir.)
