Connecting International Partners to Strengthen Health Systems and Respond to Health Inequities
The UCLA Blum Center on Poverty and Health in Latin America’s Second Annual Spring Conference will take place on May 6th and 7th at UCLA, and is open to all students, faculty and staff. Our Second Annual Spring Conference is designed to advance knowledge on policy and programming solutions aimed at creating more equitable health for Latin American populations both abroad and in the US, explore strategies for strengthening health systems, and promote a global culture of health.
The Second Annual Spring Conference is being generously supported through our partnerships with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Salud Mesoamérica 2015 Initiative, and the Inter-American Development Bank. This collaborative event will feature panel discussions, workshop sessions, and dialog prepared by US and Latin American experts. The conference will provide opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration among researchers, students, faculty, and community members interested in promoting health for Latin American populations and other vulnerable populations.
