UCLA Bike Week 2014

UCLA Transportation is proud to sponsor Metro's annual Bike Week. UCLA Bike Week features pit-stops around campus that provide cyclists with light refreshments and promotional and informational bicycle-related materials.

Meet fellow cyclists, share commuting experiences and tips and get a free light bike tune-up from the UCLA Bike Shop. $20 gift certificates will also be available at the pit-stops for Helen’s Cycles in Westwood where they can be used toward the purchase of a helmet.Pit-stops will be held at the following times and locations:

  • Tuesday, May 13: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Westwood and Le Conte
  • Wednesday, May 14: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Gayley and Le Conte
  • Thursday, May 15: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Lu Valle Commons

Additionally, the UCLA Bicycle Coalition will host two Bike Trains on Thursday, May 15. Bike Trains are group bike rides led by experienced cyclists, or “conductors”. Bike Trains meet in different neighborhoods around the city, and commute together along select bike routes.

The two new Bike Trains rolling to campus are meeting in Koreatown and Culver City. The Koreatown Train is meeting on Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 a.m., at Tom and Toms on Wilshire and Western.
