
The UCLA La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science hosted a Workshop in Conservation Genomics at the center’s field station March 23-28, 2013.

The La Kretz Center’s support of graduate student research is made possible by the generosity of Morton La Kretz.

Brad Shaffer, La Kretz Center Director and UCLA professor in the UCLA Institute of Environment and Sustainability and the UCLA Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, is lead author on the study.

UCLA's La Kretz Center Field Station opened Tuesday, Jan. 22, in the Santa Monica Mountains, providing a new headquarters and center of operations for the university's La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science.

Professor Brad Shaffer received a three-year, $631,284 grant from the National Science Foundation’s Evolutionary Genetics program.
