Research in my lab focuses on the ecological and evolutionary effects of interference competition between species. One project in Southern California, led by PhD student Rachel Chock, examines competition between the critically endangered Pacific pocket mouse (Perognathus longimembris pacificus) and other native rodents. The results may have a direct application in the planned reintroduction of this species to parts of its historic range.
