I am broadly interested in stream ecology, conservation genetics, the evolution of chemical defenses, and ecological processes occurring at the urban-wildlife interface. I work in Costa Rica to study the affects of ultraviolet radiation on poison-dart frog behavior. My current research is investigating variation in tetrodotoxin levels in California newts, Taricha torosa, throughout the Santa Monica Mountains in Los Angeles, CA.
