IoES welcomes visiting scholar J. Alberto Aragon-Correa
Alberto is a full Professor of Management at the University of Granada, Spain.
Alberto's research interests include different connections between strategic management and natural environment. He is now working with Professor Magali Delmas at UCLA Institute of the Environment to develop different research projects connecting corporate governance and environmental performance in the US electrical industry.
He has published papers in multiple journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, British Journal Management, Long Range Planning, Journal of Environmental Management, Ecological Economics, among others. He is a board member of Journal of Management Studies and ad-hoc reviewer for multiple academic journals.
Alberto leads the ISDE-Innovation, Sustainability, and Development- at University of Granada. This research group includes 23 full scholars sharing a common interest on management and natural environment. He is also Director of the PhD and Master Program on Economics and Management, and Director of the Executive Master on Tourism Management at University of Granada. He was serving as Deputy Dean for 6 years in the School of Economics and Business and 3 years as Director of the Department of Management.
He was one of the founding scholars of GRONEN (Group of Research on Organizations and Natural Environment), a network promoting interactions between American and European scholars. GRONEN has been successful promoting a friendly environment in small and intensive conferences developed in different European countries. He is also collaborating with ONE (Organizations and Natural Environment), a division of the Academy of Management.
Alberto has also been a visiting scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, ETH-Zurich, Switzerland and Rotterdam Erasmus University, Netherlands.
