Adapting to Global Climate Change

A column in the Wall Street Journal about the future and sustainability of cities features book recommendations by Institute of the Environment and Sustainability Professor Matt Kahn, who holds joint appointments in economics and public policy.

Adapting to Global Climate Change

Cities are hot (as in buzz, not global warming) among environmental thinkers, thanks in part to the growing consensus that dense urban areas represent the most sustainable way for billions of people to live (at least when compared with suburban sprawl). The Wall Street Journal asked economists, planners, and urban experts to suggest the most influential books on sustainable cities. To see their recommendations compiled by Michael Totty click here.
