UCLA Fleet and Transit Director named a Sustainability All-Star
Sherry Lewis, UCLA Fleet & Transit director, has been selected as a Sustainability All-Star by Green Fleet magazine.

Lewis has served as a fleet professional for more than 21 years at UCLA. She is one of 50 individuals nationwide to earn this distinction, given to individuals who have made significant contributions to environmental sustainability in the fleet industry.
Sherry's overall sustainable transportation goals continue to be reducing energy consumption and transitioning our fleet to renewable power sources. Currently 39.2% of UCLA's 1,037 vehicle inventory are alternative fuel, including CNG, hybrid, flex-fuel, electric, and fuel-cell hybrid vehicles. Fleet & Transit partners with academic units to further the advancement of research projects for Original Equipment Manufacturer and fuel suppliers. UCLA has been recognized as an industry leader for innovative transportation programs and as an early adopter of new vehicle technologies.
Sherry is featured, along with all the newly named Sustainability All-Stars, in the September/October issue of Green Fleet magazine and was honored at the 2011 Green Fleet Conference in Grapevine, Texas on October 3-4.
