Spotlight: "Water is Rising Music and Dance Amid Climate Change"

On Saturday, October 15th "Water is Rising" premiered at UCLA's Royce Hall. Performance and purpose collided in a powerful gala concert that illuminated the plight of the Pacific Islands. Thirty-six dancers and musicians expressed their deep connection to nature and their ancestral past through multi-part harmonies, poetry, and gracious movement cascading over dynamic rhythms inspiring us all to be better stewards of our shared planet.
