Education for Sustainable Leadership Program Year-end Action Research Team Presentations

Thursday, June 7th, 4:00 p.m., CNSI Auditorium (between Boelter Hall and La Kretz Hall)

Education for Sustainable Leadership Program Year-end Action Research Team Presentations

The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability's Action Research Teams will present their  research projects. Come hear what the teams have accomplished!

Action Research Teams (ART) are part of the student-initiated, student-led Education for Sustainable Living Program, run through the IoES, that connects students to the world of sustainability.

ART teams aim to increase campus sustainability by fostering a collaborative relationship between students, staff and faculty—providing the tools to research and implement sustainability initiatives on UCLA's campus. ART has become a truly campus-wide phenomenon with teams focusing on such areas as increasing sustainable food in the residence halls, sustainability in Greek housing and student government, mapping campus trees for better building options, determining the carbon footprint of the residence halls, and increasing the availability of Fair Trade beverages in the student union.

The presentations will be followed by a reception where attendees can interact and network with the student teams and stakeholder departments.
