Big Bear Grizzly highlighted research on the paleoclimatic history of Southern California by IoES Director Glen MacDonald and Department of Geography doctoral candidate Katie Glover.

MacDonald is in Big Bear along with several graduate students to take part in core sampling in Baldwin Lake. Valley residents may have noticed the drilling truck in the middle of the dry-lake bed Aug. 6 and 7.
