Job opening - Part time sustainability teacher
Job Title: Part time sustainability teacher and grounds supervisor for private school in Studio City (30 hours per week)

Location: Studio City, CA
Pay Rate: negotiable based on education and experience
Responsibilities: Teach 2 high school sustainability courses that each meet twice per week (students work on grounds and in garden); work with parents in organic garden; oversee grounds
Required Skills: thorough knowledge of sustainability principles; supervise CSA; love of gifted, energetic students and the earth; excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task and remain calm in fast-paced environment
Desired Skills: computer savvy; ability to bring interested parties/grant money to support sustainability initiative at the school
Other Information: This is an exciting opportunity for the right person. We are a private school for "2e" students; that is students who are gifted (one exception) and also have issues that affect their ability to learn, such as ADHD, visual or auditory processing, anxiety (second exception). Our students--grades 5-12-- thrive in project-based learning such as the organic garden. We have 3.5 acre campus in Studio City, and we are in need of a sustainability co-ordinator.
