The Southwest Climate Science Center (SWCSC) was officially launched in spring 2011.The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability serves as a host research institution for the center. The mission of the SWCSC is to be a national model for effective collaboration with land, water, wildlife, cultural resource, and civic managers to provide scientific research, tools, and techniques needed to anticipate, monitor, and adapt to climate variability and change.
