Link Between Air Pollution, Autism

A study by researchers at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health that found that babies exposed to trafffic pollution in the womb have an increased risk for autism was highlighted Sunday on Bakersfield's KGET-Channel 17. Dr. Beate Ritz, professor and chair of epidemiology at the Fielding School, was interviewed.

Dr. Beate Ritz, professor and chair of epidemiology at the Fielding School, was interviewed.

Regulating Climate-Altering Research

The Huffington Post reported Sunday on a paper by Edward Parson, professor of law and faculty co-director of the Emmett Center on Climate Change and the Environment at the UCLA School of Law, and a colleague proposing a new international regulatory framework that would allow research on large-scale efforts to halt or reverse the effects of climate change to move forward. Parson was quoted.

Felicia Federico

Federico, executive director of the La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science at UCLA's Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, was quoted Friday in a Ventura County Star article about the nonprofit Heal the Bay calling for greater protection of the Malibu Creek watershed.
