Institute of the Environment Alumni Dorothy Le is "redefining green."

Four decades after the first Earth Day, the circle of people working toward a cleaner, greener world has expanded way beyond treehugging hippies, red-paint-throwing protesters, posturing politicos, and card-carrying members of enviro groups. To mark this milestone, Grist found 40 unexpected people who are altering the green landscape.

Dorothy Le was the Institute of the Environment's very first Environmental Science graduate in 2007. She helped lead the E3 student group and the effort to start TGIF here at UCLA. She is is currently the Planning and Policy Director for the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition. See the full list here. Le is number 13 in the alphabetized list.
