Institute of the Environment's Madelyn Glickfeld receives honor from Community Conservancy International
IoE's Assistant Director for Outreach and Strategic Initiatives will be honored at Community Conservancy International's Paint The Town Green event on June 10, 2010.

Community Conservancy International (CCI) is a nonprofit environmental organization that specializes in tackling the complex and challenging problems created when people and nature intersect. CCI works to develop innovative solutions to serious environmental problems affecting California’s natural and human communities. On June 10th IoE's Madelyn Glickfeld will be acknowledged at the CCI hosted Paint the Town Green reception as their 2010 Honoree.
As IoE's Assistant Director for Outreach and Strategic Initiatives Ms. Glickfeld works on initiatives to increase interdisciplinary environmental research and education, focused on climate change and the natural environment, and implementation of conservation projects. She is also involved in many projects undertaken at the IoE's Center for Climate Change Solutions.
Ms. Glickfeld has dealt with natural lands restoration, watershed and wetlands protection, and water quality regulation and restoration in many of her professional and public service roles. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board and serves as a member of the California Advisory Board for the Trust for Public Land and Board of Directors of the Green Info Network.
The IoE community congratulates Ms. Glickfeld on this prestigious recognition.
