Former IoE Director Michael Stenstrom named Editor-in-Chief of Water Environment Research journal
The Water Environment Federation selected Professor Stenstrom based on his expertise in water research.

Stenstrom, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE, as Editor-in-Chief for its premier international research journal, Water Environment Research (WER). Stenstrom, a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), will be responsible for the overall editorial direction of the journal, as well as implementing enhancements to attract the highest quality water research from around the world.
"We are very pleased to bring on board an editor of Professor Stenstrom's caliber to lead WER into an exciting new direction," said WEF Executive Director Bill Bertera. "His extensive qualifications as an academic, engineer, and leading researcher combined with his clear vision for WER's future will help WEF partner with the research community to position our historic and highly respected research journal for future growth and success."
"I am very pleased to become chief editor," Stenstrom said. "I will do my best to guide WER to become the premier journal in water and wastewater treatment, with greater impact and more rapid publication."
