IoES Professor Matt Kahn was interviewed by China Radio International about how China's clean-energy policies may affect the United States' renewable energy industry.

China's clean energy plans and the U.S.

The US government has now picked the clean energy industry as the latest battleground with China over currencies and trade, announcing that it's going to proceed with an investigation into China's support for its renewable energy industry, which could lead to litigation at the World Trade Organization.

Some Americans are worried that Chinese firms, using subsidized loans and free land provided by the government, are "taking over" the industry.
