Alumni Day 2011

The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability hosted the first official Alumni Day on Friday, December 2nd. Former graduates were invited to deliver presentations to students enrolled in the Institute's Environmental Science undergraduate degree program.

Alumni Biana Shulaker, Dale Douk, Daniel Mabasa, Jenna Rodriguez, Shahir Masri, and Steven Kontz shared their experiences and offered encouragement to the Class of 2012, set to graduate in six months.

Each alumnus discussed their current trajectory, whether it was furthering their education by pursuing an advanced degree or embarking on a full-fledged career. They also related how the Practicum in Environmental Science, which includes working as a team on an environmental case study representing a real-life multi-disciplinary forward looking issue, impacted their present path.
