Watch the “Science and Art in a Climate of Change: A Dialogue of Nations” presentation & performance

Deep in the Pacific, the island nations of Kiribati, Tokelau, and Tuvalu are among the first to feel the direct affects of climate change as they submerge under rising sea levels. In a unique exchange of ideas and artistic expression, islanders, climate change experts, and political leaders explore the very real threats to islands across the South Pacific, the "canaries in the coal mine" of climate change. Co-sponsored by the UCLA Center for Intercultural Performance and Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, this event was part of the UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance's Artist Alphabet Series.
