Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic

Jennifer Berthelot-Jelovic is the President and CEO of A SustainAble Production, LLC (ASAP). A SustainAble Production is a full service Sustainability Consulting Firm providing consulting services in Sustainable Design & Construction.

Jennifer is a Sustainability and LEED consultant that has extensive experience with the USGBC’s LEED rating systems. She has worked on projects utilizing the various rating systems including LEED for Homes, New Construction, Core & Shell, Commercial Interiors, LEED for Schools, LEED EB:O&M, LEED for Multiple Buildings and On-Campus Building projects and more. Jennifer is able to provide a full spectrum of Sustainability and LEED consulting services, including preliminary assessment of Sustainability/LEED goals; facilitation of eco-charrettes; communication with all project stakeholders regarding the sustainability/LEED process; maintenance of the Sustainability Checklist or LEED Scorecard; research of innovative green products, vendors, and technologies; and management of the entire LEED registration, documentation, submittal, and certification process. Jennifer is also able to build to LEED standards or incorporate other sustainable rating systems and wellness attributes into projects.

Jennifer brings a true passion and commitment to green building and sustainability. In her previous role as Director of Sustainability at Shangri-La Construction; Jennifer was instrumental in securing the world’s first LEED Platinum certification for New Construction for an aviation facility through her work on Hangar 25 in Burbank, CA. Jennifer also successfully facilitated the LEED certification of 302 E Carson located in Las Vegas, NV. This LEED Gold Core & Shell project was Nevada’s first LEED Gold office retrofit, marking an important milestone for the City and State. Jennifer also orchestrated the LEED Platinum certification of Citadel Environmental Services, Inc.’s Corporate Offices under LEED for Commercial Interiors. This is the first LEED Platinum Commercial Interior office space in the Tri-City (Glendale/Pasadena/Burbank) area. Jennifer is currently working on Step Up On Vine, a LEED for Homes project with a goal of LEED Platinum intended for the psychosocial rehabilitation and support of the homeless population affected by severe and persistent mental illness. She is also working on numerous LEED projects that will prove to be milestones in the green building industry in general.

Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and a Masters in Applied Social Sciences from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Jennifer’s education has prepared her to manage large companies, projects and teams. Coupled with this education is her previous seven years working with Shangri-La Industries’ subsidiary companies as the Manager of Business Affairs. In this capacity, Jennifer was responsible for overseeing budgets, large projects, contracts and teams. Jennifer uses this plethora of experience in her role as President and CEO of ASAP and continues to work seamlessly with her clients to deliver both their sustainability and budgetary goals.

Jennifer is a LEED AP, BD+C as well as OSHA 30 certified. Her passion for Sustainability keeps her active in many organizations including USGBC, USGBC-Los Angeles Chapter (Board of Directors, Secretary), The San Fernando Valley Green Team (Board of Directors), The Valley Green Building Task Force (Co-Chair), Women In Green and many more.
